Photos: Minister breaks down after seeing Boko Haram havoc in Adamawa






 Minister of Youth Development and former Governor of Adamawa state, Boni Haruna, broke down yesterday after seeing the widespread destruction done to some villages by Boko Haram in Adamawa state. The Minister was part of a federal government delegation sent to carry out first hand inspection of areas that have been recaptured from Boko Haram in the North East with a view to rehabilitate the area and the villagers who are already returning back to their villages. Jega: I can’t guarantee polls’ll hold on March 28

The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof Attahiru Jega, on Wednesday, reiterated his preparedness to conduct the   general elections as scheduled but maintained that only the military could guarantee the sanctity of the March 28 and April 11 dates.                      Jega, who appeared before the Senate to explain the level of INEC’s preparedness for the elections, however, stunned many of the lawmakers when he revealed that one million Permanent Voter Cards had yet to be received by the commission from the manufacturers.

Boko Haram leader releases new video, vows to disrupt elections

Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau has released a new video where he vowed to disrupt the forthcoming general elections. The video which was released on twitter yesterday February 17th, showed Shekau saying in hausa language that even if he and his members are dead, Allah would not allow the elections to hold

17yr old boy commits suicide, shares photos on instagram before jumping into river



Seeing the smile on his face, you would think everything was fine with him but that's the smile of a young man about to end his life. He posted the pic on the left on instagram and wrote "I'm here" and on the pic on the right, he wrote "Smile. You've lived". 'I'm here' was him basically telling his followers that he'd arrived at the destination of his suicide. His final photo was a pic of his watch &he wrote "Time to see if my watch is waterproof" A few minutes after posting the pics and messages, he jumped from that rail you see in the pic into the Detroit River. His body was found a few hours later.

Nigeria Military Liberates 11 cities from Boko Haram

IN a major boost in the war against terror, the military in a well-coordinated attack from the air has recaptured 11 communities from terrorists in the Northeast. Two soldiers died, while more than 300 Boko Haram fighters were killed in the last two days, according to information from Defence Headquarters.
  Meanwhile, the leader of Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau has threatened that the group would disrupt the March 28 presidential election. Shekau stated this on Tuesday in a new video purportedly released by the group.
